On Thursday night, my host family (the Takahashi's) took me to the nearby town of Nihonmatsu to celebrate with what seemed like the entire town of 100,000 at their 350 year old lantern festival. It was a night I will never forget. SLW

That looks like it was a lot of fun! Can't wait to see you and more pictures!
We are sponsored by the Rotary Club and its Foundation that sends young professionals abroad to discover other cultures. The program is called Group Study Exchange. We are a team of seven professionals representing the Rotary District 5500, Southern Arizona. Our team includes a team leader, a team leader alternate, four team members and one team member alternate. We will be going to the prefecture of Fukushima in Japan, Rotary District 2530, in October 2007, and are getting ready for this exciting adventure.
